Archive Modules

The importance of history can not be conveyed better than by working with the original, historical object. Through the original source, the previously abstract past becomes tangible. The original source makes its history "tangible" and, in turn, significant. Therefore, since 2011 the Regional Archive Workshop has set itself the task (based on school quality standards and in coordination with the core syllabi of different school types) to invite schoolchildren of various ages through the archive modules to ditch their classroom for the archive to research original sources. The thematic focus on the regional level can also make it possible to link the content of lessons to the lives of the pupils and thus provide a better approach to the content.
